5 Years!

On September 18th, Kyle and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. Time has flown by so fast! We have had a great 5 years, but are so excited for our new little baby. For our anniversary, we went on a outing to Port Townsend and found the most fabulous cheese. Is there anything better than cheese for your anniversary? I cannot think of a single thing. For fun, I thought you might like to see a wedding picture and current picture to see how we have changed.

The baby shower

Marcie did an amazing job hosting the baby shower. Sis, you are hostess with the mostess. If you cannot tell by the photos it was a camping theme, complete with a "campfire." Finn was all dressed up for the party in his scarf- too cute! I am so lucky to have such great family and friends. Little Grant sure has lots of folks to love him! A shout out to Sandra and Mandy for the super yummy treats and Mandy (my crafty girl) I cannot get enough of those campfire cookies! Thanks everyone for such a fun day.

Kyle's Daddy Shower

We are behind on posts, so I have alot to share with you. First, Kyle's sis, Monika through a fabulous daddy shower for Kyle on Labor Day weekend complete with dude food (sliders and beer). Here are a few pics from the event. We are so lucky to have such great family and friends. Sorry in advance for the limited photos-my memory card died.

The Nursery!

We thought you would like to see some photos of the nursery. We are not the baby blue type so we went for green, blue, and red. Kyle did a custom stain job on the dresser, doesn't it look fancy?
Kyle says the room makes him "sleepy"- hopefully the baby will think so too!

Ashly Gets Married!

Last weekend we went to my cousin, Ashly's wedding. Now all of the Hagen girls are officially married! One of the cute parts of the wedding was the mixing of the cocktail (instead of a candle or sand). I cannot quite remember how it goes but there was something about being like pineapple juice- sweet and sour at the same time. Here are a few pictures from the wedding. One is a picture of my grandpa Ted's sister, Thelma, his brother, Hank, and his wife Charline.

Quilts from Grandma

Kyle's mom surprised us this weekend with two gorgeous quilts for our little guy. This one in the picture has a print of cute little bears camping. The other quilt is red, blue, and yellow and has little moose. These will be super cute in the baby's camping themed nursery! -R

2009 Oyster Feed

This past Sunday, was the annual Woods' Oyster Feed at Shelter Bay in LaConner. The Woods' put on another fabulous barbecue. Even when we thought people were done eating oysters, they gobbled up more. Must be Esther's secret sauce! Here is a picture of Kyle barbecuing. Even days later- he still smells like smoke.
