Fishies and Girlies

We met our friends Mandy and Paul at the Seattle Aquarium. The kidlets are getting so big. The twins are 1 year old already! I cannot believe it. It was so busy at the aquarium we hardly took the time to take pictures and before I knew it we were standing outside and it was all over. I already looking forward to seeing them again.

Grant loved the sea lion and was jumping around and smacking the glass.

Here he is in the jelly fish cut-out.

Beautiful Flowers

Kyle and I enjoy working in the yard, but that is getting a little hard to do these days. The weather has been just gross and our time is so precious! We have managed to plant some flowers from seed, a few veggies and lots of herbs.

Grant loves to go outside and whenever the evening is nice he goes for a walk with daddy around the yard looking and touching all of the plants. They love doing that together.

Here is our best little flower- Grant in a lai from grandma and grandmpa's trip to Hawaii. Can you tell he just woke up?

Mother's Day

We went up to Ken and Esther's in LaConner and had a great time on Mother's day. We sat outside most of the afternoon eating course after course (including fresh spotted prawns) with our martinis -not too shabby of a Mother's day.

Grant just loved playing with his cousins and was really beating on Collin which had us all rolling in laughter. The kids made Grant lots of pictures for his room. I hung them up above his changing table and he LOVES them. Thanks Collin and Amanda!

My sis-in-law took these great pictures.

Take me out to the ballgame.

We have tickets to about 4 games this season and SUPER awesome seats thanks to uncle rad chad. We are just 4 rows away from the field near the left field, foul ball post. The fun part is that the section has hard core fans. We had a wild couple to our left that danced their rally monkeys all over the place. Then we had a loud guy behind us that yelled all the time- Grant love this guy and would not stop smiling at him.

He slept for a full 5 innings.

Grant is on the move at 6.5 months!

As of Saturday, April 24 we have a babe on the move! How nice of him to save his big moment for a Saturday, when both mom and dad were home!

He is crawling all over the place. He is exploring all the fun new stuff like the TV cabinet, dresser drawers, the bathroom scale and his favorite new toy- the door stop that springs back when he pulls on it. Caught you, Grantie!

I really want to put on a video of him crawling, but the one I took has the TV on in the background and some angry dude is swearing. Not the kodak moment I was hoping for but heck, I do not have time to do a re shoot so let's roll with it...

For those of you that know me I love to have a clean house and would consider a fun Saturday polishing the cabinets and stainless steel appliances. In fact, I feel a little ill when the house is a mess-that goes for Grant too. Well I decided to live on the wild side and let him go crazy over the applesauce. The cross-eyed spoon pic is priceless!

Here is a super cute picture of Grant and my friend Sandra. Friends since 1st grade, go sunnyside lions, yay for Mr. Thacker the butt whacker (our principle).

The 6 month update

We have been visiting friends, playing games, exploring outside, and not posting photos. We have lots to catch up. Grant is officially 1/2 year old. They sang happy 1/2 birthday to him at daycare on April 6- so cute.

He is busy, busy, busy these days. He is closer to crawling. He is up on all fours and rocking. He does a little tummy lunge and then gets back up on all fours. He thinks it is fun to squeal and is going to be a really loud kid we think.

He has also gotten really grabby, grabbing anything and everything he can include neck skin, ouch! We had him outside recently with the nice weather and he loves to grab the grass and plants.

He can get him to laugh by tickling his chunky legs and playing "I gonna get you." Here he is standing and holding onto his car seat.

These were my bunny slippers when I was a baby. They were the perfect size ans made for some pretty cute Easter pictures.

And the biggest news of all...Grant is sleeping through the night. It happened magically on March 31. We probably could have done it sooner but we are softies and since we work so much we kind of looked forward to the night time snuggle. We are enjoying the extra ZZZs.

Smiles and a Sportscar

We went to my parents to watch the Husky basketball game on Saturday. We had a great time- lots of wine and blackened fish tacos, yum!

Grant got to "drive" grandpa's cobra for the first time. He loved it. He was all smiles. If we let him, my dad would be taking him for a drive, car seat and all.

I love this one...

A few more photos from this weekend....

Happy baby. Just hanging out with Mom and dad.

Gabby found a comfy spot. I am still not sure how her big body managed to fit on this narrow pillow.
